The Boudin Barndance - 02/19/2004

Just like last week, kicked this evening's Boudin Barndance off with selections from Bear Family Records' Tennessee Jive box set which focuses on early independent label country & western music from Nashville. Featured music from Graham Parker's upcoming Bloodshot recording to preview his show at the Narrows Center For the Arts in Fall River, MA tomorrow night (2/20). Also featured music from performers comprising installment number 3 of the monthly Your Roots Are Showing series which also happens tomorrow night, at the Century Lounge in Providence. First timers as far as spins go tonight included new releases from Starlings TN, Mindy Smith, and the aforementioned Mr. Parker.

Buttshaker of the night????? "Ducks Flying Backwards" from the Volk Brothers takes the cake.
