The Boudin Barndance - 3/13/2003

First off, just a reminder that we'll be conducting our annual fundraiser at
WRIU from March 23 - 30. Any support y'all can provide would be much
appreciated and we'll have the usual swag of t-shirts and CDs to make it hurt a
little less.
A mixed bag evening on the Boudin Barndance. Previewed tracks from a couple of
new releases from local bands, that being the slanted country sounds of the
Blackstone Valley Sinners and the debut from Barn Burning who play a CD release
party on Saturday the 15th at AS220 and who have informed me that they've just
signed to Catamount. Lots more first-timers as well including releases from
Beaver Nelson, reissue collections from George Jones and Tammy Wynette, Bill
Chambers, Todd Thibaud, Big John Mills, and a bonkers collection courtesy of
Norton Recrods from the Mash Potato man himself, King Coleman. Also broke out a
couple from the World Famous Bluejays archives what with them making prime time
thanks to the Nashville Star program intro. Buttshaker of the night???? Why of
course the Mash Potato man King Coleman with the wigged-out "Dressed In Plaid."
