The Boudin Barndance - 3/20/2003
Once again, just a reminder that we'll be conducting our annual fundraiser at
WRIU from March 23 - 30. Any support y'all can provide would be much
appreciated and we'll have the usual swag of t-shirts and (Boudin Barndance
inspired) CDs to make it hurt a little less. Phone 'em in at 888-303-9748 or
401-792-9030.
As for the show, moved it around a bunch on the Barndance this evening.
Remembered Bill Carlisle to open the show. Also previewed a couple of
shows in this neck of the woods, Calexico at the Paradise in Boston on Friday
night and Frog Holler right here in South County on Saturday night. Remembered
the late Dick Curless with a couple of tunes and also got to a bunch of
first-timers including a bunch of discs in the Cracker Barrel series - Linda
Lay, Bill Kirchen, J.D. Crowe, Balfa Bros, Tex-Mex. Other new ones included Rod
Picott (who'll be doing a live on-air with us on April 3), Joe "King" Carrasco &
El Molino, David Olney, The
Coming Grass, Dolly Varden (a bit belated), and Tim Grimm.
Buttshaker of the
night???? An ancient TNT 7-incher from Bill Morrison doing "Ste Me Free".
