The Boudin Barndance - 3/28/2002

A busy evening on the Boudin Barndance tonight. Remembered
country-everything Tommy Hill (and dammit if I didn't forget my Red Sovine
record with "Teddy Bear" on it!). Lefty Frizzell's birthday this coming
Sunday was a perfect excuse to do a set of his music. Oodles and oodles of
first-timers on the Barndance tonight as far as recent releases go. Thse
included new records from Michael Hall & the Woodpeckers, Countrypolitans,
Tommy Womack, Deryl Dodd, Jesse Sykes & Sweet Hereafter, Amelia White,
Damnations, and Jason & the Scorchers. Buttshaker of the night????? Jim
Doval & the Gauchos with "Scrub" certainly was made for gyratin'. Now onto
the goods.....
