Boudin Barndance Thursday 6:00-9:00pm with Dan Ferguson (boudindan@cox.net) The Boudin Barndance - 6/5/2003 can't squeeze it all in. Tonight's Boudin Barndance was the latter. Did some focus sets on a couple of new releases, that being the latest from Gillian Welch and the mind-altering double-disc compilation "The Complete Meteor Hillbilly & Rockabilly Recordings" from Ace. Previewed a few shows coming up in the area, that being Ray Wylie Hubbard and Amy Rigby, respectively, at the Narrows Center For the Arts in Fall River on Friday and Sunday, The Derailers at the Strawberry Park Campground in Preston, CT on Friday evening, and Robbie Fulks playing a house concert in yours truly's living room on Sunday afternoon. What with tomorrow being the 10th anniversary of his death, we also remembered Conway Twitty. A bunch of first-timers as well including new releases from the Pernice Brothers, Warren Zanes, Drive-By Truckers, Gillian Welch, and the Cow Hear This #2 various artists compilation.
