The Boudin Barndance - 6/27/2002

The usual something old, something new, something in-between Boudin Barndance
tonight. Did an album focus on the new John Fogerty tribute "Chooglin' " just
out on Dren Records. Pretty decent, if ya ask me. Plenty of Barndance
1st-timers this evening as far as new releases go. Along with the new
"Chooglin' " compilation, 1st-time spins went out to releases from Calvin
Russell, Meat Purveyors, Jason Allen (CD-TEX radio comp), Dolly Parton, former
local guy Dave Provost, Laura Minor, and the Ralph Stanley release on DMZ.
Buttshaker of the night????? Shakin' it in a hard country kind of way, it's
"Aching Breaking Heart" from the Possum.

Also would like to mention that we've got another house concert coming up on
Wednesday evening, July 24, with Porter Hall, TN. It'll be happening in Peace
Dale, R.I. and seating is limited. If interested, e-mail me off-list for info.
