The Boudin Barndance - 07/31/2003

A busy night on the Barndance this evening. Featured some cuts from the Hot
Club of Cowtown who appear locally tonight at the Towers in Narragansett. Also
previewed music from two shows coming up at the Narrows Center for the Arts in
Fall River, that being Slaid Cleaves on August 4 and Roger Wallace on August 14.
Played a set of vintage Sun Records material in remembrance of Sam Phillips who
passed away yesterday. A bunch of first-timers making the Barndance hit parade
this evening including new ones from Kim Wilson (appearing 8/20 at Sal's in
Johnston), Rosie Ledet (appearing 8/2 at Sal's), Nancy Apple, and Frog Holler.
Buttshaker of the night???? The honors go to Warren Smith with the fab "Rock'n' Roll Ruby".
