The Boudin Barndance - 8/22/2002

Back in the Barndance saddle tonight after two weeks of r&r in the Adirondack
Mountains. Scored a ton of great old country vinyl on the cheap at a garage
sale up there which made for an even better vacation. The great thing about
taking a few weeks off is coming back and having a wad of new releases to sift
through and air out. Lots of first-timers on tonight's Barndance led by the new
release from Neko Case. Others include the latest from Ray Price which is a
fine collection leaning heavy towards the "Ray Price sound", Kelly Willis,
Hellecasters, John Bunzow, John Gruliak, a 2-CD live thing from Blue Mountain,
Lynn Miles, David Baerwald, the Hangdogs, Paul Thorn, Radney Foster, and
reissues of the Lilly Brothers with Don Stover, and one of 4 new Johnny Cash
reissues ("Songs of Our Soil"). Also previewed a few tunes from the Demolition
String Band who'll be playing another in a series of house concerts this
Saturday evening put on by myself and a few pals. Buttshaker of the night?????
