The Boudin Barndance - 08/28/2003

We closed out August, as far as the Boudin Barndance is concerned, with a
remembrance of the great Floyd Tillman, a country music hall of famer who passed
away last week after an 88+ year run. Floyd's music has always been a pretty
constant Barndance feature over our 16+ year term. Birthday gal (and fellow
Country HoF member) Kitty Wells was also in the spotlight this evening.
Sprinkled in some tracks from artists performing at the annual Rhythm & Roots @
Ninigret music fest happening locally in Charlestown, RI. Lots of first timers
as well this evening including new ones from Bobby Flores (big thumbs up!),
Jesse Dayton, Rodney Crowell, Doc Watson, The Blazers (who play a Roots Hoot
house concert on 9/7/03), and the Legacy edition of the Byrds' Sweetheart of the
Rodeo. Buttshaker of the night???? The Singin' Sheriff with "Goin' Steady".
