The Boudin Barndance - 9/12/2002

Well, George Jones celebrating his 71st birthday today and what better excuse
for playing a block of his music than that, I ask? Hence a big set of some of
his old Mercury recordings. Lots of new things still rolling in, too. First
time Barndance spins were in the cards for new releases from the Dixie Chicks,
Billy Ray Reynolds, Hayes Carl, a great new hard country album from Dale Watson
sideman Billy Dee, Elizabeth Cook, the Mekons, the fine new one from Susanna Van
Tassel, and the Texas salute to Buck Owens called Happy Birthday Buck.
Buttshaker of the night????? A little swamp style rockin' from Bee Arnold with
Amos Como's Tune Toppers stirring things up on "Plant You Now, Dig You Later."
