Boudin Barndance Thursday 6:00-9:00pm with Dan Ferguson (boudindan@cox.net) The Boudin Barndance 12/4/03 A little late getting this playlist in this week (though I'm sure no one chomping at the bit waiting for it). Here in the Northeast, we've been dumped on with plenty of the white stuff. I guess it's gonna be a long one this year. As for the Barndance, began things with a short focus on the new release from Bloodshot chronicling Chicago country legends The Sundowners. From there we previewed a bunch of stuff from Los Straitjackets who brought their Xmas pageant (with the Pontani Sisters in tow) to the Call in Providence this same evening. Also managed to work in some Barndance 1st-timers from the likes of Jimmy & Jenny Eaves, Nancy Moore, The 5,6,7,8s who get the honors for the annual Norton Records Xmas 7-inch, Damn Lovelys, and Albany's finest, the Coal Palace Kings who are scheduled to do an in-studio appearance on the Barndance on Dec. 18 followed by a show at the Call in Providence that same evening. Buttshaker of the night????? Why those 5,6,7,8s with a fast and furious hunk of yuletide tunage called "Rock 'n' Roll Santa". Now onto the goods.....
