The Boudin Barndance - 12/12/2002

Another Thursday evening of big fun on the Boudin Barndance. We were visited by
Cub Pack #1 out of Richmond, R.I. who in addition to providing a gift to the DJ,
also delivered a stirring rendition of "Jingle Bells" over the Southern New
England airwaves. The rest of the music was pretty swell, too. Previewed
Slobberbone's upcoming show at the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River on
Sunday evening as well as the Los Straitjackets Xmas party with the World Famous
Pontani Sisters in tow that same evening in Providence. Also remembered Zydeco
king Clifton Chenier on the 15th anniversary of his death.

Not a whole lot for 1st-time spins, but the few we did debut are real good,
IMHO. They included a new one from Chris Wall the centerpiece of which is his
tribute to Waylon Jennings entitled "An Outlaw's Blues." Other debuts included
the 2-CD anthology from John Anderson and the Bloodshot 100th release
celebratory collection "Making Singles Drinking Doubles." (As a side note to
the latter, we will be doing an on-air interview with one of the Bloodshot head
ramrods, Rob or Nan, on next week's Barndance around 7 pm EST.) As for the
buttshaker of the night????? I'd say the late Chenier with "Let's Rock A
While." Now onto the goods.....
