The Boudin Barndance - 12/18/2003
The Albany, New York-based
band Coal Palace Kings were in the barn tonight playing live during the 1st
hour of the Boudin Barndance. The band was promoting both its new live recording
Live at the Garden Grill on Kranepool Records as well as plugging its show
in Providence at the Call that same evening. Lots of laughs, good tunes, and
discussions about White Castle hamburgers was the order of business.
On a bummer
note, we remembered honky tonk great Gary Stewart with a couple of sets of
his music.
A few new recordings making their respective debuts on the Barndance
this evening including releases from Leona Williams and Jerry Sires.
