After a week off, it was a case of playing catch-up on the Boudin Barndance this
evening. We paid tribute to the manic genius of Ray Condo who passed a couple
of weeks ago. Ray had been scheduled to perform here in July as part of an
ongoing house concert series which yours truly has a hand in producing. He will
be missed.

Celebrated the birthdays of both Willie Nelson (71 tomorrow) and West Virginia
crazyman Hasil Adkins (67 today!). Featured music from two performers coming
into the area, Greg Trooper who plays the Narrows Center For the Arts in Fall
River, MA on Saturday night and Deke Dickerson who is at the Narrow on Monday.
Plenty of releases making their Barndance debuts tonight led by the very
impressive new one from Loretta Lynn called “Van Lear Rose”. Other releases
