With Halloween approaching, we delivered another Barndance Halloween special during the second half of the show with a focus on boogie tunes and those in the spirit. Prior to that, it was a first hour of new releases followed by our weekly C&W segment. We closed with a few autumn-related tunes and some odds and ends. New albums and singles making their Barndance debut tonight came from The Handsome Family, Alice Gerrard, Sierra Ferrell, The Mighty Pines with their “Save KDHX” song, The Third Mind, Margo Price, and Shannon McNally. Buttshaker of the week???? With so many boogie tunes it was a tough one, but we’ll skip those and give to the late birthday boy Boozoo Chavis with “Who Stole My Monkey.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
