Virus-free radio tonight courtesy of The Boudin Barndance in what continues to be a very unsettling time. Following a disinfecting of all the studio surfaces and the equipment I’d be using, we were ready to go. It was a mix-‘em-up night with the new, the old, the hillbilly, and of course the Alex Chilton as this week marked a decade since his passing. New and upcoming albums making the Barndance hit parade for the first time included Swamp Dogg (big thumbs up!), Tre Burt, Mark Erelli, and the Sweet Lizzy Project. Buttshaker of the week???? The Western Elstons with a sincere blast of honky tonk swing called “Toast That Lie.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
