A night dominated by new releases on The Boudin Barndance intermixed with features and some odds and ends. We did a preview and gave away a pair of tix for the Marshall Crenshaw/Bottle Rockets show happening tomorrow night at the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA. As for those new releases making their Barndance debut this evening, included were new ones from Grant Peeples, Paul Thorn, The Two-Man Gentleman Band, Rani Arbo & Daisy Mayhem, Todd Snider (Jerry Jeff Walker salute), Marty Stuart & the Fabulous Superlatives, Ariana Gillis, Cory Branan, Alabama Shakes, Andre Williams & The Sadies, and Jon Cleary. We concluded the show with a sampling of 45s from another special Record Store Day box set of recordings, this one focusing on rare singles from Fame Records. Buttshaker of the week???? From a Fame 45, Jimmy Hughes with “Everybody Let’s Dance”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
