After a dismal first three days to the week from the weather perspective, things finally broke this afternoon just as The Boudin Barndance was coming on. If you were listening, hopefully is was on a porch with a cold one. We played the field for just about the entire evening. We did play a few in remembrance of Charlie Haden. Also previewed the Traditions Festival happening Saturday night at the Hygienic Art Park in New London, CT with some music by Joe Fletcher, Andrew Combs, and Ron Gallo all of whom are part of the festivities. Lots of new albums making their Barndance debut this evening including albums from the late Jack Clement, Billy Joe Shaver, Jim Lauderdale, Jenny Scheinman, The Baseball Project (in New London on Tuesday night), Dead Fingers, Missy Werner, Reigning Sound, Clear Plastic Masks, and three new entries to the Norton Records catalogue from Miriam, Daddy Long Legs and The A-Bones. Buttshaker of the week???? The A-Bones grab the king salami with “Lucie Baines”. Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
