We remembered a couple of bluegrass legends on recently left us on The Boudin Barndance this evening, Jesse McReynolds of Jim & Jesse fame and Bobby Osborne of The Osborne Brothers fame. I have been a major fan of each since I discovered bluegrass in the late 1970s. In addition to those remembrances, we offered up primarily new releases during the first hour followed by our weekly C&W segment. We closed the show with just under an hour of blues and R&B. New albums and singles making their Barndance debut tonight came from Margo Cilker, Parker Milsap, Tommy Prine, Dean Johnson, and a reissue of the Kentucky Colonels album 1966. Buttshaker of the week???? Little Walter in a runaway with “Boom Boom Out Go the Lights.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
