Tonight’s Boudin Barndance was in high gear. After a first hour of new releases followed by the weekly C&W set, we went into a birthday salute to legendary singer/songwriter and visual artist Terry Allen featuring music from a cross-section of his albums. It has been a big year for Allen what with the publishing of the biography of him, Truckload of Art. For fans, it is highly recommended. For newcomers, it is quite the story and no doubt will have you seeking out his music. New albums and singles making their Barndance debut this evening came from Laurie Lewis, Kelsey Waldon, Ruth Moody, Martha Spencer, Chris Smither, and Camp Saint Helene. Buttshaker of the week???? Roy Hall with “Don’t Stop.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
