We brought back our “Album you need to hear” feature this evening. Began it in early March with the plan to bring back a terrific album from the past that maybe you heard or maybe you didn’t, but is clearly worthy of ears. Tonight’s choice was the late Ted Hawkins’ The Next Hundred Years from 1994. In addition to that, we worked in a few leftovers from last week’s Alt Country A to Z feature which focused on “T” artists from the prime period of the movement. Prior to that, it was the usual hour of new stuff to begin the show followed by the weekly C&W segment. New albums and singles making the Barndance hit parade for the first time tonight came from Kevin Gordon, Billy Strings & Bryan Sutton, Eric Hisaw, Neil Young & Chrome Hearts, Watchhouse, Mike Polizze, SG Goodman, Ethan Daniel Davidson, Joe Maphis (reissue), Thee Sacred Souls, and Kathleen Edwards. Buttshaker of the week???? J-Jay & The Dell-Tones with “Just a Matter of Time.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
