One of my musical heroes is the late Jim Dickinson and as we do most August’s around this time (and in honor of his Aug 15 birthday), I like to shine the spotlight on his musical contributions which were many. We spent the last hour of the program in “Dickinson mode” covering a variety of his work as solo artist, producer, sideman, and contributor. Prior to that, it was mostly new albums the first hour followed by an extended weekly C&W segment that ran from 7-8 pm. New albums and singles making the Barndance hit parade for the first time tonight came from Marissa Nadler, Charley Crockett, Molly Tuttle, Larry Sparks, and the late Michael Hurley.
