After a couple of weeks off for some r&r, it was back in the Boudin Barndance saddle again this evening to deliver the goods. This evening’s studio guest was Chuck Wentworth, producer of the annual Rhythm & Roots Festival happening at Ninigret Park in Charlestown, RI on Labor Day Weekend. This year is the 19th annual and info can be had at www.rhythmandroots.com. In addition to chatting with Chuck about the 2016 event and playing music from a variety of artists, we also gave away tickets. That was the 2nd half of the program. The opening half was a playing-the-field affair. New and upcoming releases making their Barndance debut tonight included albums from Courtney Marie Andrews, Carl Broemel, Haley Bonar, Evening Bell, Ryley Walker, Dale Watson & His Lone Stars, Kweskin & Muldaur, Kirchen & DeLone, and the On Top of Old Smoky compilation. Buttshaker of the week???? The Blasters grab the prize with “Marie Marie.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
