What a gorgeous week it has been here in Southeastern New England. The goal of The Boudin Barndance this evening was a show made for outdoor listening with the proverbial cold drink. Based on feedback, we may have achieved our goal. Features were minimal tonight with only a birthday remembrance of the late Waylon Jennings. Other than that, we pretty much played the field. Lots of new or recent releases making their Barndance debut tonight including albums from Sam Bush, Rob Ickes & Tim Hensley, Jerry Castle, Rebecca Pronsky, Esme’ Patterson, Tommy Womack, Michael Fracasso, Ana Egge & The Sentimentals, Allen Toussaint, Jim Armenti, Frog Holler, and Ray Mason. Buttshaker of the week???? The Dirtbombs grab the big salami with “If You Can Want.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
