It’s now three Indian summer Thursdays in a row, but then again who’s counting. A whopper of a night on the Boudin Barndance this evening with ticket and CD giveaways, not to mention show previews. On the ticket giveaway front, there was the Blood & Thrash Tour at The Met with Jonny Two Bags & Scott H Biram & Jesse Dayton happening next Wednesday night, the Dave Rawlings Machine at Lupo’s on Nov 14, and Robert Earl Keen at The Met on Nov 17. The CD giveaway was the sampler from the latest (Vol 12!) of the Bob Dylan bootleg series. Previewed the Memphis Dawls who play a house concert on Saturday night hosted by yours truly, not to mention talking up the Parsonsfield show happening in Newport and also on Saturday night. Birthday salute set for two faves in Doug Sahm and Gram Parsons and also saluted Chris Stapleton who won big at the CMAs last night. New releases making their Barndance debut tonight included albums from Steve Forbert, Peter Case, Au Pair, Maiden Radio, and Aaron Lee Tasjan. Buttshaker of the week????
