Two Indian summer Thursdays in a row, but who’s counting. This was the 1,477th Boudin Barndance tonight, but who’s counting. With Halloween around the corner, we kicked it off with songs in the spirit, including a buttload of boogie tunes. We remembered banjo ace Bill Keith who passed away late last week. Also spotlighted three new releases from the Paradise of Bachelors record label: Gun Outfit, Promised Land Sound, and James Elkington & Nathan Salsburg. Other new releases making their Barndance debut tonight included albums from Tim O’Brien, Old Man Luedecke, and Ashley Monical. Oh yeah, also previewed the Blood & Thrash Tour with Jonny Two Bags, Scott H Biram, and Jesse Dayton which hits the Met Café in Pawtucket on Nov. 11. Buttshaker of the week???? What with all the boogie tunes, a tough call, but we give it to Lucky Boggs with “Drillin’ Rig Boogie”. Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
