Back in the saddle tonight after a week off for a URI basketball game interruption. With deep snow and crappy roads, a good night to hunker down with The Boudin Barndance. Once again, the show was simulcast as part of the Salvation music & art series happening all this month at The Salvation Café in Newport. We finally got into 2015 featuring a buttload of new releases on tonight’s program. Included were albums from Gwyneth Moreland, The Lone Bellow, Todd Adelman, Jim White vs. Packway Handle Band, The Gibson Brothers, Bob Dylan, Steve Earle & The Dukes, Justin Townes Earle, Gretchen Peters, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, Chadwick Stokes, Ryan Bingham, Oh Susanna, Brandi Carlile, Gurf Morlix, Murder by Death, and The Brothers Landreth. We closed out the show with a remembrance of R&R Svengali Kim Fowley who passed a couple of weeks ago. Buttshaker of the week???? In honor of Mr. Fowley, the U.S. Rockets with “Bodacious”.
