A big gulp of gospel music on The Boudin Barndance this evening as we shined the spotlight on the brand new 4-CD compilation just out on Big Legal Mess Records called The Soul of Designer Records focusing on sacred sides from the custom record label based out of Memphis. Devoted the last 45 minutes of the show to a variety of sounds from the collection. We remembered Lou Whitney of The Skeletons and The Morrells fame who passed on Tuesday. New releases making the Barndance hit parade for the first time included albums from Maggie Bjorklund, Sam Amidon, The Stray Birds, The Dirty River Boys, and Pete Molinari. Buttshaker of the week????
