A happenin’ Boudin Barndance this evening. We continued our monthly salute to 20 years in the record-making business for the Bloodshot record label with a set of tunes from notable August releases from the Chicago-based concern. We offered a sneak preview of upcoming new releases from JP Harris & The Tough Choices (world radio premier?) and Joe Fletcher. We gave away tix for the upcoming Rhythm & Roots Festival happening at Ninigret Park in Charlestown, RI from Aug 29-31. We even devoted a set to artists playing the Transfigurations II festival in Asheville & Marshall, NC, also next weekend. A mess of new releases making their Barndance debut this evening including albums from Parsonsfield, Hiistomp, Fayssoux, Laurie Lewis & Kathy Kallick, Naomi Shelton & The Gospel Queens, Israel Nash, David Mayfield, Cahalen Morrison & Country Hammer, and Dan Blakeslee.
