An action packed evening on The Boudin Barndance tonight. Celebrated the birthdays of three favorites, that being Waylon Jennings, Charlie Feathers & Howlin’ Wolf, in a big time way. Did a mini-preview and ticket giveaway for the Willie Nile show at the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA on Saturday night. Our 7th annual Swamp Stomp Music Fest is just around the corner on July 12 and we continued our weekly preview set of the performers who include Ha Ha Tonka, JP Harris & The Tough Choices, Girls Guns & Glory, and Smith & Weeden. We think it’s pretty potent lineup, so join us, dammit. Facebook event page link is above. A mess of new releases making their Barndance debut on this night including albums from Kris Delmhorst, The Far West, Kacey Jones, Adam Carroll, Joe Henry, the very highly recommended new one from The Delines, Lonesome Shack, and Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires. Holy shit on the last one! Buttshaker of the week???? Slow burn butt waggin’ stuff from the aforementioned Lee Bains III with “Mississippi Bottomland”.
