BARNDANCE ALERT: The WRIU RADIOTHON FUNDRAISER happens NEXT WEEK. The Boudin Barndance edition is on APRIL 3. We’ll have Boudin Barndance SWAG available for your pledges, not to mention music for your pleasure for a pledge.

Still waitin’ for Spring to spring in these parts. It did not deter the Spring-like mood on The Boudin Barndance this evening. After an “odds and ends” first half of the program, we welcomed Sarah Borges and Ward Hayden (of Girls, Gun & Glory fame) onto the program for the 2nd half of the show. The occasion was to plug their dual CD release party happening tomorrow night (Friday) at the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA. Ward and Sarah did some live stuff and we chatted up the show and dug into the back history and future plans for each. A bunch of new releases making their Barndance debut this evening including ones from Peter Mulvey, Sturgill Simpson, Del Barber, Hartle Road, Eliza Gilkyson, the joint venture by Heather Maloney & Darlingside, and Sarah Borges. Buttshaker of the week???? Late birthday gal Janis Martin with “Drugstore Rock & Roll”. Now let’s all grab a cold one or two and get to the goods….
