Barndance ALERT: Sarah Borges and Ward Hayden of Girl’s Guns & Glory will join us on the Boudin Barndance next week (March 27) sometime in the 7:30-9 pm segment.

After a two-week hiatus to Austin for SXSW, it was back in the Boudin Barndance saddle tonight to continue the fun and frolic. Saw plenty of inspiring stuff in ATX and a bunch of which made it onto tonight’s playlist. Lots of new releases making the Barndance hit parade for the first time including albums from Angel Olsen, Carlene Carter, Chuck Mead, Sam Doores & Riley Downing, Robert Cray, New Madrid, Sun Kil Moon, Sid Selvidge (reissue), Luther Dickinson, and the Dexter Romweber Duo. With the 2014 Bloodshot Records calendar as our guide, we continued our once monthly “Bloodshot flashback set” with notable past March releases from the label. Buttshaker of the week???? Some Western boogie courtesy of Wylie & the Wild West Show with “Hutterite Boogie”. Now let’s all grab a favorite cold beverage or two and get to the goods….
