WTF! Cold as a witch’s %$&#, snow squalls, wind howling. No sign of spring anywhere on this Thursday evening. What better weather to hang home and tune in The Boudin Barndance. Hopefully you were out there tonight. It was a busy one. We remembered Johnny Cash for his birthday (yesterday, actually) to close out the show. Did a mini Cajun-Zydeco thing what with a couple of big events in the Ocean State this weekend. Talked up the Joe Fletcher/Toy Soldiers show happening at the Columbus Theater in Providence tomorrow night and pretty much had an all-around evening of cheer up in the big seat. A bunch of new releases making their Barndance debut this evening including albums from Dawn Landes, Farewell Drifters, Stone Jack Jones, Drive-By Truckers, Jessica Childress, and the Tim Lee 3. Buttshaker of the week???? A little Louisiana swamp blues with “Shoo-Shoo Chicken” from Charles Sheffield. Now let’s all grab our favorite cold one and get to the goods….
