A royal mess in these parts today what with snow followed by a butt load of rain. Piles of slush and ice everywhere, but the Boudin Barndance is sort of like the U.S. Postal Service. The show MUST go on! Another full menu on this evening’s show. Three weekend shows were in the spotlight and we did ticket giveaways for a couple of them: Eilen Jewell Band at The Narrows in Fall River on Friday and Saturday night, Robert Ellis at The Columbus Theater in Providence on Saturday night, and the Winter Psych Storm tour with The Black Angels & Roky Erickson coming to The Met Cafe in Pawtucket on Saturday night. The latter enabled us to close the show on a definite psych note. New releases making the Barndance hit parade for the first time included albums from Lydia Loveless, Ross Johnson & Jeffrey Evans, Sad Bastards of Brooklyn, The Grahams, Levy Lowrey, and D.B. Riley. Buttshaker of the week???? Gene Vincent with “Crazy Legs”. Now let’s all grab our favorite cold one and get to the goods….
