Freewheeling fun on The Boudin Barndance this evening. Facebook page during the show sounded like it was inspiring some imbibing out there. Smoke ’em while you got ’em, I guess. A mixed bag of stuff tonight. We did play a few from Joe Fletcher who plays his Rhode Island farewell show on Saturday at the Music at Lilypads in Peace Dale before making the move to Nashville. A good pal of the Barndance and our Roots Hoot House Concerts series, we wish him luck. He is a talent. New releases making their Barndance debut this evening included albums from The Wood Brothers, Lucius, Howe Gelb, Karen Hudson, Mason Jennings, and EPs from Miss Tess & the Talkbacks, Lydia Loveless and St. Paul & the Broken Bones. Buttshaker of the week???? The late Boozoo Chavis in remembrance of his birthday with “Johnnie Billie Goat”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods
