A mix and match and odds and ends Boudin Barndance this evening. As usual, a fun time being in the driver’s seat on this night where the phones were decidedly quiet. We always take that as a good sign. The only special item on this evening’s program was a preview of the upcoming show by The Feelies at The Met Café in Pawtucket on April 20. Several recent albums made their Barndance debut this evening including new ones from Luke Winslow-King, Jerry Miller of Eilen Jewel Band (and Jack Smith & the Rockabilly Planet) fame, Shinyribs, Hollis Brown, Charles Bradley, and the Numero Group Eccentric Soul collection focusing on the Bandit label out of San Antonio. Buttshaker of the night???? A little 1960s South Texas R&B with Big Walter doing “Get to Gittin'”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
