A busy evening on The Boudin Barndance tonight compounded by a new in-studio computer with all kinds of new tools. Talk about multi-tasking. Once again, we mostly “played the field” bouncing all over the place. New releases making their Barndance debut this evening included albums from Iris DeMent, Whitehorse, The Abrams Brothers, and Ben Sollee. We remembered Amy Farris with one from her lone solo release and this week’s Boardwalk Empire inspired the Emmett Miller track near show’s end. Buttshaker of the week???? The late Asie Payton from a Fat Possum releases with a slayer of of a tune called “I Love You.” Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
