It’s Thursday night and Boudin Barndance time. For the most part, we did the shuffle of old, new and in between tonight. Seeing Ernest Tubb would have been 98 years old this very day, it seemed fitting to offer up a set of his music, which we did. New and recent releases continue to trickle in and a bunch made their Barndance debut this evening. They included new & upcoming ones from Anais Mitchell, Martin Zellar & the Hardways, Amos Lee, Seth Sherman, John Nelson, First Aid Kit, and the recent Mississippi Records compilation “Last Time Around”. Buttshaker of the week???? Can’t resist the organ throb of Jackie Shane’s “Stand Up Straight & Tall”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
