The humidity in these parts the last week is swellin’ doors and mildewing paint, so what’s The Boudin Barndance to do? Not a darn thing but provide the Thursday evening soundtrack primer for those in listener land. We remembered country music star Johnnie Wright who passed on Tuesday at the age of 97 and was married to Miss Kitty Wells (for a whoppin’ 74 years!). Featured music from a couple of folks coming into the area this weekend; Rodney Crowell who plays a solo show at The Knickerbocker Café in Westerly on Saturday night and Peter Case who plays a house concert hosted by yours truly on Sunday afternoon in Peace Dale, RI. A bunch of releases making their Barndance debut this evening including new ones from David Jacobs-Strain, Kasey Anderson & the Honkies, Tyler Ramsey, AA Bondy, Dale Watson, and Southern Culture on the Skids.
