The snowstorm per week M.O. continues in these parts with the latest whopper ending this morning. Another 10″. Really getting tired of it all. Anyway, we had a busy night on The Boudin Barndance. We remembered Charlie Louvin, who passed away, with a bunch of Louvin’s music and a few other related things. We completed our Jayhawks reissues spotlight with Tomorrow The Green Grass getting the honors tonight. Finally, we played a bunch of Neko Case music what here playing at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel in Providence next Wednesday. Lots of new or recent releases making their Barndance debut this evening including recordings from Hacienda, Bobby Long, Goldenboy, Stagger & Sway, Carrie Elkin, Carrie Rodriguez & Ben Kyle, and the aforementioned Jayhawks reissue. Buttshaker of the week???? Phillip & the Faithfuls in a landslide with “Rhythm Marie.” Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods…
