A mixed bag of stuff on this evening’s Boudin Barndance. We remembered soul great Solomon Burke who passed away last Sunday. We featured a bunch of stuff from Vancouver-based singer & songwriter and all around good time Carolyn Mark who plays a house concert on Saturday night hosted by yours truly (www.myspace.com/rootshoot). She’ll be backed by Brooklyn-based The Jack Grace Band. Finally, we welcomed the Colonel, Johnny Maguire, who will host his 2nd annual Colonel’s Super Duper Guitar Party on Saturday from 4 – midnight at the German Club located at 78 Carter Avenue in Pawtucket, RI. In addition to all that, we also broke out a couple of new releases, one from The Fabulous Ginn Sisters and a new collection of original mono recordings from Bob Dylan. Buttshaker of the week???? We go local with The Cobra-Matics and the instrumental “Shiverin’ In the Corner”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
