A Boudin Barndance just like the New England weather this evening. If you don’t like it, don’t worry it’ll change. Previewed a couple of upcoming live events: Terry Adams R&R Quartet at the Knickerbocker in Westerly on Sunday night and an advance preview of the Green River Festival happening up in Greenfield, MA on July 17-18. The latter has a pretty stellar lineup and for the 1st time expands to two full days. Check out www.greenriverfestival.com. Played one in memory of Jimmy Dean, not to mention a few birthday remembrances – Waylon, Lester Flatt, Chet Atkins. Recent releases making their Barndance debut this evening included The Victor Mourning, Frontier Ruckus, Alejandro Escovedo, Peter Wolf-Crier, Bettye LaVette, and a couple of 7-inchers from Norton Records, Melvin Davis the Wrecked Angels (the latter part of Norton’s Rolling Stones covers 7″ series). Buttshaker of the week???? Peter Case from his pretty hot new one with “Dig What You’re Puttin’ Down”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
