Playing the field on The Boudin Barndance this evening. Played one in honor of Willie’s 77th and remembered Floyd Dakil who helmed the classic Texas rocker “Dance, Franny, Dance”. Releases making their Barndance debut this evening included new ones from Tift Merritt, Sally Spring, Shelby Lynne, Richard Julien, Mars Arizona, Texas Tornados, Sam Quinn, Dr. Dog, The Mynabirds, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Fred McDowell (reissue), and a 7-incher from Magic Kids.
