Right off the bat, we are having a heckuva winter here in R.I. and frankly speaking, today was absolutely f*ckin’ cold. In other words, it’s gettin’ to me. One remedy is Thursday nights and spinning CDs and records for the Southeastern New England masses. We did it again tonight on The Boudin Barndance. We began with a remembrance of the day the music died. From there it was in to a tribute set to legendary steel player Tom Brumley (Buckaroos, Rick Nelson’s Stone Canyon Band) who passed away yesterday. Lots of nifty, cool new albums in the hopper getting their first Barndance spins this evening. These included new ones from the Dex Romweber Duo, Ben Kweller, Ben Nichols (of Lucero fame), Heartless Bastards, and Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit. All are highly worthy of your greenback dollar. Buttshaker of the week???? The great Doris Duke with “Feet Start Walking”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods……
