As they say here in Rhode Island, it was “wickit” cold out tonight and what
better way to spend the evening than to cuddle up to radio and tune in the
Boudin Barndance. Based on the high volume of calls this evening, I’d say a
lot of folks did just that and we thank ’em. Began things with a birthday
remembrance of Johnny Cash. In addition to that, it was the usual odds &
ends & scraps including tracks from acts playing in the area over the next
week or so including Eddie Angel with the Lustre Kings (Bank Street Cafe,
Roots Hoot House Concerts), Bill Kirchen (Bank Street Cafe) and The
‘mericans (Nick-a-Nees). Lots of new stuff rolling in, as well. First-time
spins went out to new or recent releases from the Waco Brothes, Mark
Pickerel & His Praying Hands, Arty Hill & the Long Gone Daddys, Jo Carol
Pierce, Tyler Ramsey, Kathleen Edwards, Chatham County Line, Doc Marshall’s,
Stephen Simmons, Savoy Family Band, Webb Wilder & the Beatnecks, and the
Johnny Cash TV Show collection. Buttshaker of the night???? The late
Charlie Ryan with “Hot Rod Lincoln”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get
