Winter hit with a vengeance today, but like the US Mail the Boudin Barndance went on. Gridlock gripped Rhode Island, but we satisfied those stuck in their cars with the usual Barndance mix. Talk about drama! We remembered Ike Turner with a couple of sets of his early rockers and rhythm ‘n’ booze numbers. Continued working in the Yuletide stuff. We even found time to debut a bunch of releases. Leading the charge was the terrific new slab from Seattle-based band The Tripwires. Dig the Mersey undertow! Other albums making their debut included Ronnie Costley (featuring Kaiser George!), Holly Golightly & the Brokeoffs, and the Blind Alfred Reed tribute album “Always Life Him Up”. Buttshaker of the night????? Can you say Ike Turner with “Cubano Jump”? Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods…
