Well, it was a 2/3 night on the Barndance this evening as we were pre-empted in the last hour for URI basketball. Unfortunately they never got a connection for the radio feed and ended up running PSAs for the hour. Sorry fans. As for the Barndance, we did a birthday remembrance of Ernest Tubb featuring a block of his music. Also featured a few from Brooklyn-based honky tonker Jack Grace who brings his band into the house on Saturday for a show. Other than that, it was an odds and ends evening. A single release making it’s debut on the show tonight, that being Elisabeth Ames & the Countrypolitans with the fine album “Anytime”. We played the leadoff track “Genessee” which pays homage to upstate N.Y. and the cream variety of that brew. Being a long-time Adirondack guy, it hit the spot. Buttshaker of the night???? The Belmont 5 with “Cobra”. Now onto the goods….
