The last Boudin Barndance of 2006 began with a look back at some new releases from the past year that hit the sweet spot. We’ll do the big gulp on the 2006 tunes on next week’s program. Some of these hit the Barndance hit parade for the first time including stuff from the late Chris Whitley and Diana Jones. Devoted a set to 2006 reissues/historical releases that also hit the sweet spot. One of these was a brand spankin’ new compilation from Sundazed Music focusing on the Minaret label. Closed things out with a set of tunes for a good pal who managed Boozoo Chavis the last decade of his career. Buttshaker of the night???? Boozoo, that’s who, with “Oh Yeah”. Now onto the goods….
