2006 marked two years in a row where I headed up to the station on Thanksgiving evening to do the annual Boudin Barndance Doug Sahm special and could not get into our building. And just like last year, we had to postpone for a week. We made amends tonight with the 7th annual edition of the Boudin Barndance salute to the music of Mr. Sahm. Three hours of Doug and still it felt like we were only scratching the surface. What a body of work! Once again we thank everyone for the calls of praise. Like last year, it still amazes me how many people know little or nothing about the music of Sir Doug. Hopefully we educated a whole bunch more out there this evening, enough so they seek this music out much of which has been reissued. Buttshaker of the night????? “The Tracker”. Now onto the goods…..
