Back after a week off due to parental obligations. Shined the Boudin Barndance
spotlight on the new Wanda Jackson tribute from Bloddshot Records called
Hard-Headed Woman. Also featured music from Southern Culture On the Skids who
play The Call in Providence this Sunday night which also happens to be
Halloween. The Weary Boys are also on the bill. What with the Por Vida tribute
concert happening next week in Austin, featured some tunes from the tribute
recording. Lots of new releases making the Barndance hit parade for the first
time including a collection of 1960s recordings from Bettye Swan as well as new
ones from Jesse Dayton, the aforementioned Wanda Jackson tribute Hard-Headed
Woman, Susan Cowsill, and the New Guitar Summit recording featuring J. Geils,
Duke Robillard & Gerry Beaudoin. Buttshaker of the night????? SCOTS by a
landslide with “The Sweat Spot”. Now onto the goods…..
